We welcome undergraduate students as well as master’s and doctoral students to join our laboratory. Through research that uncovers the fundamental principles of high-temperature processes, we explore unknown materials and phenomena, and seek to bring new perspectives to materials science. We are looking for motivated members who wish to challenge these frontiers together.

If you are interested in visiting our laboratory or would like to discuss your future academic path, please feel free to contact us from here.

For Prospective Graduate Students

Our laboratory belongs to the Department of Energy Science and Technology, Graduate School of Energy Science, Kyoto University. Students who wish to join our group as graduate students are required to take the entrance examination for this department. We welcome students not only for the master’s program but also for the doctoral program. For details, please refer to the entrance examination information provided by the Graduate School of Energy Science.

For Prospective Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students of the Department of Engineering Science at Kyoto University, specifically those in the Applied Energy Science and Engineering Course (4th year), are assigned to our laboratory. If you are interested in our research, we encourage you to pursue the Applied Energy Science and Engineering Course.

We Look Forward to Working With You.

If you love experiments,
if you are excited by high-temperature materials research,
and if you are passionate about contributing to a sustainable society—
we warmly welcome you to join us.
